I'm pretty sure that Land O' Frost lunch "meat" is safe for vegetarians and even vegans to eat safely. I haven't seen any evidence that it contains anything that ever existed on an animal. I think they take a form or artificial cheese, probably derived from petrochemicals, color it a nice bright fleshy pink, and then add some liquid smoke. I guess I have to give them some slack since somehow they've been able to legally label it "turkey" and not get in trouble with the FDA. It must contain the absolute legal minimum of product from a real turkey though. And I want to know what they use as the remaining filler. I'm guessing sawdust. Speaking of sawdust, I wouldn't be surprised if all the "turkey" that they put in their lunch "meat" is actually shavings collected after sawing the heads off of normal turkeys. I think they would be more accurate to call it "untextured generic animal protein." And that's what I think about processed meat. I want to have real meat for lunch from now on. Where you can actually see the grain of the muscle fibers.
